The threat of hunger and starvation has become a real issue for South Africa because of the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The State recognised that this is a historic disaster, prompting it to allocate emergency relief funds to counter the problem. For a number of organisations, the solution has been to go into partnership with social entrepreneur business, Yebo Fresh. It has been selling and delivering food to people in Cape Town’s informal settlements and townships for over two years. We are joined via Skype by the founder of Yebo Fresh, Jessica Boonstra.
